{"id":6533,"date":"2014-03-28T14:00:40","date_gmt":"2014-03-28T20:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/daveonline.net\/thepolymerarts.com\/blog\/?p=6533"},"modified":"2014-03-28T10:15:42","modified_gmt":"2014-03-28T16:15:42","slug":"outside-inspiration-getting-lost-in-glass","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thepolymerarts.com\/blog\/outside-inspiration-getting-lost-in-glass\/","title":{"rendered":"Outside Inspiration: Getting Lost in Glass"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Of course the <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.com\/1454707887\" target=\"_blank\"><em>1000 Beads<\/em><\/a> books has many beads that are not polymer but I would say all the beads, no matter what the material, are inspirational for the polymer artist.<\/p>\n<p>I know I completely fell in love with the beads by glass artist <a href=\"http:\/\/touchofglassdesigns.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lisa Atchison<\/a> whose lampwork reminded me of intricate polymer cane layering, only there are a few additions to the traditional all cane layered bead. Can you see the additional micro beads and crystals she&#8217;s added not to mention the filigree like lines laid atop the basic layers? This kind of accenting would be easy enough to add to any polymer bead.
