{"id":4725,"date":"2013-10-15T14:00:49","date_gmt":"2013-10-15T20:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/daveonline.net\/thepolymerarts.com\/blog\/?p=4725"},"modified":"2013-10-15T01:30:04","modified_gmt":"2013-10-15T07:30:04","slug":"stretching-the-pod-form","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thepolymerarts.com\/blog\/stretching-the-pod-form\/","title":{"rendered":"Stretching the Pod Form"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday&#8217;s pods were primarily of the plumper variety, so today I thought we&#8217;d look at a beautiful example of a thinner, longer version.<\/p>\n<p>I find these caned and charred looking beads by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/myriadbeads\/\" target=\"_blank\">Keryn Wells<\/a>\u00a0to have a rich, almost tribal feel to them. I don&#8217;t think many of us think of beans as pods but, of course, that is exactly what they are. And they can have such a lovely, graceful shape and line to them. Yes, I have been quite often inspired by my dinner plate. Sometimes I get lost in my Brussels sprouts or become almost too enamored of my kiwi slices to eat them. (I said almost!)
