I always love seeing an artist who uses a beautiful stone in their artwork to make something more amazing than either stone or art would be separately.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve long admired the repouss\u00e9\u00a0work of jewelry artist\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lkindlerpriest.com\/\">Linda Kindler Priest<\/a>, who is a master at this skill, and her work has helped me learn more about how things go together in my own work.<\/p>\n<p>A good example is her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lkindlerpriest.com\/Gallery\/polar-bear-on-ice-brooch\/\">\u201cPolar Bear on Ice\u201d<\/a> brooch. The quartz crystal cluster she chose to combine with her golden bear repouss\u00e9 piece could actually <em>be<\/em> ice!\u00a0 Brrrrrrr.<\/p>\n<p>As you know, polymer and stones go together beautifully too. Almost every stone, mineral, or crystal can be worked into your polymer creation and baked together.
