Categorizing Creativity

When people ask me what I do, I say “I create.” There really is no other way to explain succinctly all the things I do and to make someone understand that the things I make are not side projects. I live, breath and dream creativity. Even when I worked a 9-5 job, it was so I could make enough money to buy art supplies. But even my jobs were creative on some level. I have also had to explain that making art from what is considered a craft material does not make what I do a hobby way too many times. Maybe we can get these tags as business cards too. 🙂

I haven’t used that term in regards to what I do but rather revert to naming the product that I make from my creative activities. The problem is, I have so many interests in different materials! I have been focused on one and created a business around that but find that I need to ‘branch’ out more and ‘mix it up’. So I think I would like to say now that ‘I create.” Thanks!
